LSI Opens Monday 19th February
The wonderfully restored Literary and Scientific Institute will be opening its doors and welcoming visitors on the 19th February after its 18-month programme of repairs and refurbishment. Its epic top floor offices are now populated by the Crowdfunder team of digital marketing companies, and bookings are already being taken for the work hub desks, training and meeting rooms on the ground and lower ground floors.
At the heart of the building will be The Alembic canteen, an inspiring space to meet friends and colleagues over excellent tea and coffee and the simple but innovative dishes we will be serving. There will also be the opportunity for pop-up chef evenings and talks and events in aid of the LSI and the Bridport Area Development Trust, whose trustees have worked so hard over the years to bring the building to this exciting launch.
The Training and Meeting Rooms and desks in the Workhub have now been fully furnished and are now being booked from the 19th February. Events already booked include workshops with the Dorset Growth Hub and evening talks by the Dorset AONB and the RSA. Pictured is the first workshop held by the Dorset Growth Hub, which was run on a preview basis. Several local freelance people have already booked sessions in the professional and calm working environment of the Workhub.
